DESCRIPTION Scapa T3601 is a polyethylene coated cloth tape, coated with a fire‐retardant rubber pressure sensitive adhesive. The product meets the requirements of F.A.R 25.853(a) and M1 for fire‐retardancy. Scapa T3601 is available in white and is printed with F.A.R. 25.853(a). APPLICATIONS For sealing and joining within aircraft cargo areas. Temporary joining of fireproof panels during shipbuilding. General applications in the construction industry such as reinforcing, wire harness holding, sealing partitions and joints and temporary repairs. Applications in safety critical areas where fire safety is paramount and/or specified. The product must be protected from dust, heat, moisture, direct sunlight and solvent fumes. Service life will vary with conditions of use and is affected by climatic environment, but should not be less than one year from date of shipment when stored in a cool dry place below 24°C. Application to Surface: Unwind adhesive tape and apply the adhesive side to the mounting surface. Apply firm pressure. Recommended application temperature to achieve best results is 18°C or above. Correct bonding may not occur unless adhesive and surface material are both at 18°C or above. Note: When applying pressure sensitive adhesive tapes to any surface, ensure that the surface is free from oil or other surface contaminates such as powder, dust, or release agents.
